- Our theme for the next quarter is "Good Citizens Make a Difference."
- Our essential question is "How can comparing and contrasting the adventures and experiences of characters in familiar stories help me better understand what I'm reading?
- We will be continuing to learn about object pronouns like me, us, you, her, him, it, them. Today we introduced "Penelope the Pronoun Princess." We made a class list of pronouns for our anchor chart. We will be learning about singular and plural pronouns.

MATH:
- The students are learning how to "balance" a number sentence. We have been working on identifying if an equation is true or false. We are also working to identify the value of a missing number in an equation.
- We will be working on our problem solving skills as we answer word problems (story problems). First, we need to determine what question is being asked. Next, we need to represent the problem in a number sentence. Then, we need to show our thinking. The students are learning how to label work and explain the process in writing.
