- We are learning the contractions 's, 'm, and 're, as well as reviewing I'm, he's, and she's.
- The students are learning how "kn" makes the /n/ sound.
- We are learning how making connections (Text-to-Self and Text-to-Text) helps us to understand the text we are reading.

Book in the Bag:
- Please make sure to have your child read from his/her book in the bag each night to build up fluency. We are learning how to pause at punctuation, read at a good rate, and read with expression (no robots in here)!
- The books/bags are due every Tuesday and Friday.
MATH:
- We are reviewing how to add three numbers together, determine the missing number in an equation, determine if a number sentence is true/false, compare two numbers by <, =, and >, determining the digit and the value of the digit in the hundred's, ten's, and one's place.
- We are using mental math to help us find 10 more or 10 less for numbers up to 120. Our app "Math Pieces" is a great visual that you can utilize at home to help your child determine the number after adding ten or subtracting ten.
