This week in first grade we are learning how to compare two or more items.
In this activity, each student traced his/her own shoe and measured with unifix cubes. Next, the student traced and measured a friend's shoe with unifix cubes. Finally, each student wrote two sentences. The first sentence is comparing the student's shoe to the friend's shoe. The second sentence states how much longer/shorter the student's shoe is compared to the friend's shoe.
