Hour of Code

Today our class participated in "The Hour of Code." 

www.code.org

We had a high school teacher and 2 high school students, who are in a Computer Science class, visit our classroom to assist.

We learned that computer scientists blend human ideas and digit tools to increase our power. They can make robots, design apps for phones/iPads/computers, create animated movies and video games, and so much more!

We also learned that we learn from our mistakes. We were not born to always get programming right the first time, but we get better with each try!

In the Kodable app, now on your child's iPad, your child is programming directions to get the Kodable from left side of the screen to the right side of the screen. 

The kids LOVED this experience!

Mr. McConnell even came to the room to join in on the fun!!!
